In the marine sector, in cooperation with Fast Engineering, our company manufactures machines for doping of glass clothes with polyester resins, capable to accurately adjust and maintain the doping factor.
The use of this machine makes possible to impregnate single or doubled glass materials with polyester resins, having a weight from 450 to 1,900 gr/m2 and a variable width from 100 to 1,300 mm.
The impregnation ratio can be controlled and maintained strictly constant during the work; this fact allows the automatic winding on a fitting roller of the material which outgoes from the impregnation machine.
The sheet will automatically stop when is achieved the length, previously fixed with the aid of a metric counter, that can be codified in decimetres.
The roller with the impregnated glass can be displaced on the working mould by a special overhead crane.
The machine has a very compact shape. It is built on a special wheel-frame, which supports, besides the machine and its mixer, the resin and the catalyst pumps, the resin tank, the catalyst tank, the autoclave of the acetone, which is necessary for the washing, one or more rolls of dry glass, the roll of impregnated glass and the control console.
The machine is perfectly autosufficient; it needs only a connection to a 6 bar compressed air source, by a flexible 1/2 inches sock pipe.
Thanks to the mixer of a dynamic type, the machine permits the use of low lift volumetric pumps for the resin and the catalyst, being the discharge free.
The lateral walls, which contains the resin, are very efficient; they let issue a small flow of resin and can be easily regulated for sheet with a width from 100 to 11,300 mm. Besides the sheets of the skin, you can impregnate the reinforcement materials too, by the use of the same machine.
The washing system of the mixer and the rolls by jet pressured acetone from a special spray-gun, makes possible to economize at the best the use of the solvent (about 8 litres per washing) and to reduce the necessary time for this operation (~10 mins).
The machine's usage is very easy and it needs the work of a single operator, who himself can transfer the impregnated sheets on the working mould.
A single machine can be utilized for the rolling on several moulds at the same time.
If in the future the Customer may wants special equipment to be able to work with the impregnating machine directly over the moulds, springing the intermediate stage of the winding of the sheet on the roll, it will be sufficient to disassemble the machine from its support unscrewing the 4 bolts and to settle it on suitable self-moving supports.
